AKWA IBOM STATE COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, AFAHA NSIT SETS FOR 7TH CONVOCATION.

The 7th Combined Convocation ceremony of the Akwa Ibom State College of Education, Afaha Nsit for the award of the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), presentation of prizes and awards of excellence will take place on Friday 12th July, 2019.

The ceremony will be to honour graduands from 2014/2015, 2015/2016 to 2016/2017 academic sessions.

Below are highlights of the convocation ceremony.

Day I, Tuesday 9th July, 2019: A Special Convocation Solemn Assembly at the College Mini Theater by 10.00am.

Day II, Thursday 11th July, 2019: Convocation lecture on the topic: TEACHER EDUCATION A PANACEA FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: THE NIGERIAN PERSPECTIVE by Prof. Ben Ben Akpan at the College Mini Theater by 10.00am.

Day III, Friday 12th July, 2019: Main convocation ceremony at the College Sports Ground.

INFORMATION TO GRADUANDS

All graduands should assemble at the College Mini Theater not later than 10.00am on Thursday 11th July, 2019 and seated in the place allocated to them for the Convocation lecture.

Graduands are expected to collect academic gown from Tuesday 30th June, 2019 at their respective schools on payment of the sum of N17,500.00 only.

Complete academic gowns must be returned to the School Officer on or before Tuesday 16th July, 2019. Failure to return the academic gowns on the said date will attract a find of N5,000.00 per day.

PROCEDURE FOR PAYMENT IS AS FOLLOWS:

1. log on to the address: http://akscoeportal.org from any internet access point e.g phone or laptop.

2. Click on the link "Create Account" at the top menu.

3. Fill the form by entering your MATRICULATION NUMBER, PASSWORD and other BIO-DATA details.

4. Upon completion of the form, a username (MATRICULATION NUMBER) and the PASSWORD entered will be displayed on the screen.

5. Login with your username (MATRICULATION NUMBER) and PASSWORD.

6. To pay the Convocation fee, click on the link "COMPLETE FEE PAYMENT"

7. Proceed to generate your payment slip bearing a TRANSACTION ID. Fees payment can be made in any Commercial Bank Nationwide or online in Interswitch Quickteller via https://www.quickteller.com/akscoe

8. The instruction on how to pay in the Bank or on Quickteller is available on the Payment Slip.

9. After successful payment, login to your portal to print your receipt for bursary endorsement.

10. Payment can be done at the COLLEGE ICT UNIT (with service charge of N400.00 only) while 2,000.00 Alumni charge should be paid into First Bank Account No: 2012002999.
